Are you an advanced handbell ringer with the talent, ambition, and commitment to join New Hampshire’s only elite ringing ensemble?

Auditions will be conducted by the Music Director and Assistant Director and will consist of four parts:

​

• A written questionnaire covering the applicant’s musical background, with a section on identifying standard handbell notation

• Rhythm exercises

• Ensemble ringing:  All applicants will be asked to ring a given selection with current GSR members; applicants will be evaluated on sight reading and proper form and technique. 

• A conversation with the Musical Director and assistant about the group's expectations.

 

Successful January applicants will be required to commit to GSR for six (6) months, including regular (usually biweekly) rehearsals (held Sundays, 2:30-5:30 p.m.) and all concert appearances.

 

GSR is an all-volunteer organization; neither the ringers nor the directors receive payment.

GSR will hold regular summer auditions in August 2022 for the 2022-2023 program year.
